Privacy Policy – Move N Store

This privacy policy outlines your rights, obligations, and responsibilities as well as those of Move N Store. It's essential that all parties understand their roles. Where "you" refers to the customer and "we" or "us" refers to Move N Store. Any amendments to these terms must be agreed upon in writing.

Quotation Acceptance

  1. Written acceptance of our quotation is required to confirm the service. This acceptance must include details of the move's timing, location, and contact person.
  2. Our quotation is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless extended in writing.
  3. The quotation is confidential and should not be disclosed to third parties.
  4. We reserve the right to adjust our charges due to fluctuations in currency, taxes, or unforeseen circumstances.
  5. Additional charges may apply for parking arrangements or the disposal of unnecessary items.

Exclusions from the Quotation/Estimate

  1. Our staff are not authorized to perform specialized tasks such as:
    • Removing or laying fitted floor coverings
    • Handling items listed in clause 5
    • Installing or uninstalling electrical fixtures requiring complex wiring
  2. Any such work should be carried out by a qualified professional. We will not be liable for any damage resulting from unauthorized work done by our staff.

Customer Responsibilities

  1. You must:
    • Declare the nature of the goods being moved or stored
    • Be present or represented throughout the move
    • Ensure that nothing is left behind or taken by mistake
    • Prepare and stabilize all appliances and electronics before removal
    • Empty and defrost refrigerators and freezers
    • Empty fish tanks prior to the move
    • Ensure electricity is available at both the origin and destination
  2. If electricity is unavailable, we are not responsible for incomplete services, and no refunds will be provided. Additional charges may apply.

Ownership of Goods

  1. By entering into this contract, you confirm that:
    • The goods are your property or you have the authority to act on behalf of the owner
    • You will indemnify us against any claims if these declarations are not accurate

Items Not Accepted for Removal or Storage

  1. The following items are excluded:
    • Jewelry, watches, precious metals, money, deeds, securities
    • Prohibited or stolen goods, drugs, explosives, firearms, ammunition
    • Refrigerated or frozen food, animals, or their habitats
    • Firearms, ammunition, toxic waste, flammable materials
  2. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to such items and may dispose of them without notice.

Postponement/Cancellation

  1. Cancellation charges apply as follows:
    • An administration fee of AED 750 for Dubai moves and AED 950 for other Emirates if canceled within 24-72 hours of the move
    • 75% of the total invoice if canceled on the day of the move

Payment Terms

  1. Payment terms:
    • 50% upon confirmation and 50% upon job completion
    • Full payment upon completion for international moves
    • Full payment for storage and advance rent upon completion
    • Down payments are non-refundable.
    • Payments can be made via cash, bank transfer, or credit card (with an additional 4.5% fee).
    • Returned cheques incur a charge of AED 100 or 5% of the total amount, plus bank fees.

Liability for Loss or Damage

  1. Claims for damages must be made before our team leaves the premises.
  2. Our liability is limited to AED 250 per job, except in cases of:
    • War, terrorism, natural disasters, industrial actions
    • Wear and tear, atmospheric changes, vermin infestation
    • Goods not packed or unpacked by us, fixtures damaged due to difficult access
    • Items listed in clause 5 or goods received in unknown condition

Damage to Premises or Property

  1. We are not liable for damage caused while moving goods against our advice.
  2. Any damage must be noted on the delivery note form.
  3. Our liability is limited to the reasonable cost of repair.

Subcontracting

  1. We reserve the right to subcontract work.
  2. These terms and conditions still apply if subcontracting occurs.

Failure to Pay

  1. Non-payment exceeding 30 days may result in the transfer of ownership of stored goods to Move N Store.
  2. We may sell or dispose of goods to recover unpaid amounts.
  3. Late payments incur an additional 5% charge for the first month, 10% for the second, and so on.
  4. Legal action may be taken to recover unpaid fees, including all legal costs.

Data Collection

  1. We collect personal data to provide our services and improve customer experience.
  2. Your data may be used for marketing purposes only, to inform you about our services and promotions.
  3. We will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent.

General Terms

  1. Move N Store will determine the number of days, packers, trucks, and materials required.
  2. Our team is entitled to a 30-45 minute lunch break.
  3. We will unpack and collect packing materials on the same day for local shifts within the UAE. Failure to comply may result in additional charges.
  4. Storage check-out or re-delivery must be requested at least 5 days in advance.

Transit Delays

  1. We are not liable for delays in transit due to factors beyond our control.
  2. Transit times are estimates and may vary based on traffic and other conditions.
